Family

When family relationships break down, we understand that it can be a highly emotional time for you. You may feel vulnerable and that the situation is out of your control with no understanding of where to turn or how to approach the situation.

Our specialist team of family solicitors and lawyers are here to help and support you to resolve complex problems that may arise in relation to a separation, divorce, civil partnership, financial dispute, children and/or other family issues. We understand that important decisions may need to be made which will ultimately affect you and your family for years to come.

Resolving the problem

Many people attempt to resolve their family problems around a table with their partner and/or family members, whereas often others find this level of communication with their partner and/or family members quite difficult and at times intimidating. Whilst we encourage, wherever possible, for discussions and negotiations to take place between the parties, we also understand that often you may need to seek ad hoc support during the process and, as such, we are here to help and offer guidance to you so as to aid meaningful and ongoing negotiations. If, however, court action is necessary, we have the experience and skills to ensure your interests are best represented.

Our skilled family team aims to resolve problems with a pragmatic approach to help support a quicker and amicable resolution which can be a more affordable approach than that of litigation. Whichever approach is adopted, our dedicated team of family solicitors and lawyers will guide you through each step of the way by providing you with a friendly and professional service.

We are here to help

If you wish to deal with matters yourself and are looking for some friendly, experienced legal advice from time to time, our family team is happy to help on ad hoc basis.

We at Montecristo LLP recommend that you seek legal advice as soon as possible so as to avoid any further deterioration in which can often be described as already a turbulent family matter. We provide an initial fixed fee consultation of £150 (plus VAT) during which all your options will be discussed so as to allow you to make an informed decision on how best to proceed on a legal basis.
